For those of you who don't know already, I totaled my MK6 GTI Wolfsburg edition about two or so weeks ago. Hit a deer, then took down a small tree, I was fine, car was not.

The great news is that since it was a lease, I am out of the car clean!

The other great news is that I just purchased a MK1 Rabbit L, 2.0ABA swap, 85 ACH trans, and tons of other goodies.

Needless to say I am having fun.

Great looking Rabbit though, looks like it's in top notch shape. Roof rack looks nice also, some BBS couldn't hurt though!

So would that 2.0 be similar to the engine I had in my '97 Jetta?

I will always have a special place in my heart for the MK1 rabbits, my dad had a diesel one of those.

Yessir! I'll be there this weekend with it, and a coworker will be driving a new MK7 GTI as well as a demo car.

I would LOVE some BBS RS...probably have to get reps for now though. Found a gorgeous set but it cost almost as much as the car!

Yes it is. Only changes are intake, headers, and full exhaust.

yup every time I have a car payment I end up getting tired of said car payment. I mean $/fun ratio is a lot harder to get right when you've got a 300 dollar a month car payment, and you're paying 100+ bucks a month for full coverage insurance. Plus right now I have a coupe and I miss owning a hatch, but I might end up with a small truck instead.
